WHY UPRIGHT MRI?

Upright MRI in Fort Wayne offers affordable, comfortable MRI scans for patients in a relaxing, non-medical atmosphere. Upright MRIs are a more comfortable alternative to traditional scans. It is much more open, and most common scans are done in a seated, upright position. At Upright MRI, there is no confining tunnel and less noise than traditional MRIs making it ideal for everyone including larger and claustrophobic patients or patients who find lying down for an MRI physically uncomfortable or a source of anxiety or stress.

Benefits of an Upright MRI

We offer flexion and extension views with cervical and lumbar exams which can help diagnose spinal stenosis. We are the only MRI facility that can do this. Our newly updated spa-like environment offers a waiting area with coffee bar, snacks, TV, and a kid's area.

IMAGING POSITIONS

Upright MRI patients can be scanned in a variety of positions and and can scan any part of the body, including joints, spine, and the brain. Some of our exams can be done with the patient seated upright. This allows us to see the source of the condition that may be missed in recumbent or "lying down" MRIs. See below for the positioning of different scans. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact us.
